My dog is between two sizes.
Two ranges sit on a border. At 15–22 lbs (Pug, Boston Terrier, Shiba) stay with Small unless your dog is a demolition expert — then size up to Standard. At 60–80 lbs (Labrador, Golden, Doberman) stay with Standard, and only size up to XL for a power chewer.
Outside those two bands, chewing style shouldn't change your size. Bigger is not safer: an oversized holder is awkward for a small dog to grip, and a frustrated dog chews less carefully, not more.
How do I know it's tightened properly?
Three checks, every time: the chew sits centered in the opening, it feels firm after you twist, and it won't pull out by hand. If it slides out easily for you, it will for your dog. Slipping is almost always under-tightening, not the wrong size.
Does size depend on my dog or on the bully stick?
Both, but stick thickness is the harder constraint. Your dog's weight decides how the holder feels in the mouth; the stick's diameter decides whether it goes in at all. Weight picks the size — thickness can veto it.
Can I use chews other than bully sticks?
Yes — yak cheese chews, collagen sticks and beef trachea all grip well. Flat chews like pig ears have nothing round to bite into, and antlers, hooves and nylon bones are too hard and too wide.
I have more than one dog.
Two dogs rarely wear the same size, and sharing one holder means one dog waits. The multi-dog bundles save 10–20% and allow size and color swaps, so you can mix a Small and an XL in the same box.
What if I pick the wrong size?
Most customers land on Standard — it fits standard bully sticks and works for most dogs. And you have 30 days to change your mind, so it's a low-stakes call.
How do I clean it?
Rinse it or run it through the dishwasher. Unscrew and fully separate the parts first, and dry completely before reassembling — trapped moisture is the usual reason a holder gets stiff to twist.
