Check the fit
Inspect the holder for wear. Choose a chew whose shape and thickness can be gripped securely.

Metal teeth and a pin keep the stick from pulling out. Still: stay in the room.
Bully Stick Holder
The last inch of a bully stick is the part dogs swallow. The Chewise holder grips that end with metal teeth and a locking pin, so your dog gets the whole chew and you get to stop hovering.
A holder reduces the risk of swallowing the end. It does not replace supervision.
For dogs 20–70 lbs. Check the holder opening and the fit of your individual chew.
For dogs 70+ lbs. Compare the opening with your chew before choosing Extra Large.
For dogs under 20 lbs. Check both your dog’s size and the fit of the chew.
Start with your dog’s weight, then check the opening and your individual chew.
Weight is a starting point, not a guarantee of fit. Chew thickness and shape matter too.

Start with a compatible chew, then stay close throughout the session.
Inspect the holder for wear. Choose a chew whose shape and thickness can be gripped securely.
Tighten the screw normally and check the grip by hand. Never force it or add improvised inserts.
Recheck during use. Stop if the chew loosens, pieces break away or your dog bites the holder.
A holder does not replace supervision or make chewing risk-free.
Read the setup guideA few things to know before you get started.
No single size fits every chew. Bully sticks vary by thickness and shape, even within the same package. Check the actual gripping end, secure it according to the instructions and test the hold by hand before each supervised session. If it slides out, do not offer that setup to your dog.
Choose a compatible chew, insert it into the holder and secure the locking mechanism. Check the grip before handing it to your dog, stay nearby and end the session when the chew becomes short, loose or damaged. See our step-by-step holder instructions.
No. A holder does not make chewing risk-free or replace supervision. Stay with your dog, check the chew and holder regularly, and remove them if your dog tries to swallow pieces or chew the holder itself.
Check your dog’s weight alongside the holder opening and chew thickness. Review the Chewise size guide before ordering. If the fit is unclear, contact Chewise with your dog’s weight and the dimensions of the chews you use.
Pause the session and check installation, the shape of the gripping end and the condition of the holder. More force will not fix an incompatible chew or damaged parts. Follow our bully stick slipping checklist before trying again.
Fully unscrew and separate the parts. Remove leftover chew material, wash by hand or use the dishwasher, and let every part dry completely before reassembling. Check for damage and make sure the mechanism works normally before the next use.
